WE CAN'T WAIT for anybody who has been following what my dad and I are about to do we wanted to start on January 1st 2009. We can't wait that long we're going to start the day after Christmas.
Here's how we're going to do this:
My dad and I are going to follow P90X to the letter and document our every movement. I know my dad will be traveling and training people so he might not do a daily blog but I'll be on here on a daily basis. I was going to keep a written journal but I wanted to do a video journal instead and I'll be uploading those videos to my blog here.
I'm also going to use Fitday and take a picture of my daily intake so that'll be displayed here as well. The reason I'm doing all of this is to hold myself accountable. And when I did my last round it really helped having other P90Xers encourage me along the way.
Now that you know what's going to happen let me tell you about my challenge with my dad.
Again my name is Vesone Dean, by the way that's my dad's name too, August 2007 I was at my heaviest 300 lbs. I had to get a job because I just moved to Indianapolis and I was in between semesters. I had to get dress attire for the occasion and when I finally found a store that carried my size (44 size pants) I was happy but furious at the same time. I couldn't believe that I let myself get to the point to where I had to FIND a place to gete my pants.
I stood in the mirror in the dressing room that day and promised myself that I was going to make a HUGE change. I started eating better and working out doing Taebo and weight lifting. Then I found P90X and that completely turned my world upside down. I started doing P90X and after changing my eating habits and working out more and more I lost about 80 lbs.
I came to visit my parents and they couldn't believe that it was me, my dad is a competitive man and he told me that he wanted to start getting back into shape. So we started a challenge in July and it was supposed to end by the end of this year 2008. But he just got a new job and school was getting more and more difficult...
All excuses aside I feel of the wagon a little and so did he, I gained some of that weight back but I'm not concerned about that nor am I angry.
So we've issued a new challenge we want to make 2009 the last year we make our new years resolution about weight lose, so we started a new challenge that will end the last day in June. Which is enough time to get two rounds in, we're going to let the youtube p90x community be the judges on who has the best 6 pack by June. The winner will get $2000!!
There's one thing that I'm doing though, I'm not going to use the scale the entire time I'm doing this program. I found that the scale can make or break your day most of the time and it doesn't matter whether you have a great workout or you feel lighter and more fit, that scale could ruin everything. I'm going strictly on how I feel this round.
SO...now that you know all about what we're doing and how we're going to do it stay tuned for my next entry which will be on December 26th 2008.
